Operation Foxhole Atheists

Operation Foxhole Atheists (OFA) has been shut down due to lack of donations. OFA wants to thank every individual and group that participated and donated monies and goods to the cause and helped support over 20 soldiers total. Donations began declining as the economy turned and ultimately the donations dried up making it impossible to continue the work of OFA.

OFA, a side project of NAFA, sent care packages to foxhole Atheists deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. OFA initially started after hearing about Atheist soldiers in Iraq who attempted to start an Atheist group (see picture below). The Atheist soldiers were harassed and threatened to have the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) used against them. NAFA members were deeply disturbed by the actions of the Army and other stories from Foxhole Atheists. NAFA wanted to support Atheist soldiers with care packages and letters of support. That first initial event turned into a national effort to help support Foxhole Atheists deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. OFA sendt Foxhole Atheists care packages with their needs and wants.
